Men's Basketball

Talent
John Riad was the Dinos' brightest star, summoning all the experience and talent
his five years with the team provided. He led the team in points, placing fifth
in the league and was named a second team All Canadian.

Whit Hornsberger and Chris Wright also racked up their fair share of points, providing consistent production. Hornsberger was named CIS Athlete of the Week midseason and Wright was named to the tournament all-star team at nationals.

Coaching
Coaches can only do so much without playing the game themselves, but Vanhooren
and Thomas leave nothing to be desired. The importance of their faith in the team's
goal-setting and their guidance in goal-reaching should not be understated.

Achievement
The Dinos men's basketball team deserve top marks in more ways than one this
year. With a deep bench, a league title and a damn good showing at nationals,
it's hard to criticize them.

Yet, while the Dinos record was excellent, not to mention their league championship and nationals appearance, it fell just short of perfection.

Overall: A-

Country: Italy. Distinct character, a lot of pride, and a lot of passion.
