Closed-minded definition

Re: "The happy Harper fun hour," Jan. 28, 2005,

Ben Hoffman criticizes Stephen Harper and opponents of same-sex marriage by using the analogy of a redneck from "down home" to paint Conservatives as small minded.

Hoffman should realize the hypocrisy in his argument. Isn't it a bit narrow minded of supporters of same-sex marriage to only accept one definition of marriage? I would think people so tolerant of a wide range of views could at least have room for more than a black or white definition of a union of two people.

It's amazing how the tides have turned: the truly closed minded people these days are the liberal-progressive-democrats who consistently refuse to discuss, listen, hear or tolerate any other point of view, especially those of people associated with the wisdom of traditional (age-old, time worn) western religions. These left-leaning progressives are now the true closed-minded ones.
They consistently and vehemently close themselves off from continued discussions about anything, threatening to delete emails, hang up, and reject even so much as a minor comment if it doesn't fit precisely into their agenda.
They are desperate, ignorant and dishonest.
