With a larger group of rookies on the team this year, the women soccersaurs had difficulty taking on the more experienced teams in Canada West. This does not mean there is no talent, it means the team used this season to develop into a soccer powerhouse in seasons to come.
This is where the team shone. They put forth a stellar effort almost every single time they stepped onto the pitch, even when they were facing a stronger opponent. They had players with less experience, but those players made up for it by giving it their all.
Robin Slot just finished his first full decade as head coach of the Dinos women's soccer team. Over the last 10 years, the team has made it to conference finals six times and won their first CIS championship. This was a rebuilding year and he seemed to do a decent job. We'll definitely see results in the years to come.
This is the part of the report card that brings the mark down, just like "plays well with others" did on my early report cards. The team finished fifth of a possible eight, which is good for a younger team, but they placed right behind the Trinity Western University Spartans. This is bad. I believe our women soccersaurs are a far better team that just couldn't get a break, or a timely goal, when they needed to.
Country: Australia. Fairly young, full of unused resources and could be a stronger force in the world if they wanted to.
