The Devlins. Their name creates the image of a Celtic revival band and as the name suggests, they are from Ireland. But their sound doesn't capitalize on their background. Instead they come off as a very contemporary--if not ordinary--combination of guitars, keyboard, and electronic production, all overpowered by strong, inoffensive vocals.
It's certainly not the most innovative album, but the melodies are nice, the vocals are relaxing, and after listening through, it's difficult not to feel slightly more comfortable than before.
It's the kind of music you'd want to throw on while taking a bath, reading a book, or entertaining something romantic.
