The U of C’s SU is a devoted group of students who advocate on behalf of the student body. They sit on many decision-making and administrative groups at the university.


This year’s executive team have set out attainable goals, but with only four months left in their positions, time is slowly slipping away for them to finish what they set out to do.

Filmmaker Benjamin Hayden has no qualms with his decision to desert English literature in favour of the greener pastures of experimental film making.

"When Chaucer and English seemed way too dusty, I knew I needed a medium that I could actually touch and interact with," says Hayden.

After spending a term as an English student at the U of C, Hayden transferred into the new Bachelor of Film Studies program that sees students splitting their time between the U of C and SAIT.

Mad Dog should be put down. Permanently.

The book is Canadian author Kelly Watt's first novel, although she is an award-winning short story writer. While I admit I have never read any of her short stories, Mad Dog might have worked better as a short story.
